This study investigated the effectiveness of digital mathematical modeling via the JoLearn educational platform in enhancing mathematical proficiency among eighth-grade students in Jordan. A quasi-experimental design was employed with a sample of 60 female students, randomly assigned to an experimental group (digital mathematical modeling through JoLearn) and a control group (traditional instruction). Data were collected using a mathematical proficiency test covering four dimensions—conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, adaptive reasoning, and strategic competence—alongside a productive disposition scale. The instruments’ validity and reliability were established using appropriate psychometric procedures. The findings indicated that students in the experimental group significantly outperformed their peers in overall mathematical proficiency and across its dimensions. In addition, the experimental group showed a significantly more positive productive disposition toward mathematics compared with the control group. These results suggest that integrating digital mathematical modeling through JoLearn can meaningfully improve both performance and attitudes in middle school mathematics. In light of these findings, the study recommends expanding the use of JoLearn to incorporate more interactive and immersive tools, including augmented reality applications, to support mathematical learning and foster deeper engagement and persistence among students.
