This study examines the impact of the Reading and Mathematics Program (RAMP) on the development of reading comprehension skills among third‑grade students in Jordan. To achieve this goal, the researchers designed a reading comprehension test and a training program grounded in RAMP principles. The validity and reliability of both the test and the program were established. The study sample consisted of 50 third‑grade students purposefully selected from schools in the Wadi Al‑Seer district. Of these, 23 students from Al‑Rabahiah School formed the experimental group, while 27 students from Al‑Nair School served as the control group. The experimental group received instruction through the RAMP‑based training program, whereas the control group followed the regular curriculum. Findings indicated a statistically significant effect of the RAMP‑based training program in improving reading comprehension skills among third‑grade students. These results suggest important implications for curriculum designers, policymakers, and teachers seeking to integrate structured literacy interventions into early elementary education in Jordan. In light of these results, the researchers recommend adopting RAMP‑based training programs to enhance reading comprehension skills at the elementary stage in Jordan.
