، ، ، ، .This study aimed to identify the role of basic school principals in Al-Kourah District in developing creativity among teachers from the perspective of public‑school teachers, as well as to examine the effect of gender, years of experience, and educational qualification on teachers’ perceptions. A descriptive survey method was employed supported with observational notes, and a questionnaire was developed to measure the development of creativity across five domains: fluency, flexibility, originality, risk‑taking, and sensitivity to problems. The study population consisted of 999 teachers, and the sample included 317 male and female teachers selected by simple random sampling. The results indicated that the role of basic school principals in developing creativity among teachers was rated as high from the teachers’ point of view. The findings also showed no statistically significant differences in teachers’ perceptions regarding the development of creativity attributable to gender, experience, or qualification. These results highlight the importance of strengthening principals’ instructional leadership and providing targeted professional development that equips school leaders with concrete strategies to foster a creative school climate and support innovative teaching practices. In light of these results, the study recommended several actions, including motivating highly skilled teachers by activating the role of school leaders and entrusting them with key responsibilities as part of the core requirements of school work.
