Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the extent to which National Education teachers in the Bani Ubaid Directorate of Education implement service-learning projects in their teaching, as perceived by school principals. A descriptive survey methodology was employed, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire completed by 54 principals. The findings indicated a moderate level of service-learning project implementation by National Education teachers (overall mean = 3.32, SD = 0.97). These results highlight the need for greater institutional support, including curriculum guidance, teacher training, and school–community partnerships, to move from moderate to higher levels of meaningful service-learning practice. The study recommends increased support from the Ministry of Education for collaborative service-learning initiatives and the development of stronger partnerships with community institutions, such as municipal councils and health centers.
