Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effect of information technology on teaching the recitation and intonation course to Jordanian seventh graders, focusing on improving their skills in the provisions of recitation and intonation. The experimental method was employed to achieve the study's objectives, utilizing a pre-test and post-test tool to collect data. The study was conducted on a sample of 130 male and female seventh-grade students from various schools within the Northern Mazar Directorate of Education. During the second semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, the experimental groups were taught the provisions of recitation and intonation using information technology. The study demonstrated the effectiveness of using information technology in teaching the provisions of Al-Telawah and Al-Tajweed. It also revealed statistically significant differences attributed to gender, favoring females. The study made several recommendations, the most important being the organization of courses for Islamic education teachers to train them in better activating and utilizing information and communication technology in teaching Al-Telawah and Al-Tajweed.
