Abstract

This study aimed to identify the levels of psychological vulnerability, emotional suppression, and family cohesion among adolescent female students who were victims of bullying in Jordan. Additionally, the study explored the capability of family cohesion and emotional suppression in predicting psychological vulnerability. To achieve the objectives of the study, an accessible sample of 95 female adolescent students who are victims of bullying was selected. The results showed that the mean scores for psychological vulnerability, emotional suppression, and family cohesion were moderate. Furthermore, the findings indicated that emotional suppression had predictive ability regarding psychological vulnerability, while family cohesion did not predict psychological vulnerability. The results also revealed no statistically significant differences in psychological vulnerability based on the level of parental education. The study recommends paying attention to adolescent girls who are victims of bullying and conducting family awareness programs addressing their needs, as well as implementing programs to enhance their rehabilitation and coping abilities.
