This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of Adlerian treatment in improving family relations among battered Syrian refugee women. The study sample consisted of 30 Syrian refugee women from the city of Irbid, Jordan. The study sample was randomly assigned to two groups: an experimental group of 15 women and a control group of 15 women. To achieve the study objectives, a family relations scale was used for the two groups, and a counseling program based on Adlerian therapy, developed by the researchers, consisting of 14 sessions was applied to the experimental group. The results showed that the program was effective in improving family relations, so there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental and control groups on the family relations scale in favor of the experimental group. The results also showed no statistically significant differences between the average responses of the experimental group on the post-test, indicating that the Syrian refugee women retained the effect of the treatment.
