This study examines the role of educational media in enhancing intellectual security among secondary school students in Jordan from the students’ perspectives. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from a cluster sample of 1,500 students from three governorates representing Jordan’s main regions: Zarqa, Mafraq, and Karak. A validated and reliable questionnaire was used to measure students’ perceptions of how educational media contributes to intellectual security. The findings showed that educational media plays a high-level role in promoting students’ intellectual security by strengthening critical awareness, encouraging moderation, supporting civic values, and protecting students from harmful or deviant ideas. Statistically significant differences were found according to governorate, educational track, and grade level, while no significant differences were found according to gender. The study recommends strengthening school-based educational media programs, integrating intellectual security themes into media and communication activities, and designing targeted initiatives that respond to students’ regional and educational differences. The study contributes to Educational Studies and Applied Humanities by highlighting the role of educational media in promoting critical thinking, civic responsibility, and intellectual resilience among adolescents.
