Abstract

This study aimed to examine the role of principals of special education schools inside the Green Line in empowering teachers to develop students’ skills. The study adopted a descriptive survey design, and data were collected using a questionnaire developed for this purpose. The questionnaire was administered to a sample of 304 male and female teachers working in special education schools. The findings showed that the role of special education school principals in empowering teachers to develop students’ skills was perceived to be high. The results also indicated that teachers’ contribution to developing the skills of students with special needs was perceived to be high. Based on these findings, the study recommends that principals of special education schools strengthen teacher empowerment practices by providing professional support, promoting effective dialogue between teachers and students, and creating school environments that support students’ skill development.
